DGNO 3081
Delivered to Baltimore & Ohio as B&O GP40 3723 in March 1969, to GATX 3723, rebuilt for Burlington Northern as GP40G 3081 in June 1989 then retired by BN less than three years later in February 1992. This unit would work for DGNO keeping the BN assigned number, then to Missouri & Northern Arkansas as MNA 3081, and finally ending her career on Central Oregon & Pacific as CORP 3081. In June 1996 CORP 3081 and CORP 1353 were involved in a derailment in Weed, CA which resulted in both units being scrapped. In this photo DGNO 3081 is getting some attention at the company depot in Garland still wearing Cascade Green with a small DGNO patch on the cab and logo on the nose.
