A Helm Leasing SD40-2 wearing a blue dip paint job has more than enough horsepower to handle a DGNO mixed freight passing through Dennison. Delivered to Burlington Northern as SD40-2 7167 in September 1979, due to a backlog at the EMD plant in LaGrange, IL this locomotive was built at GMD London, Ontario. In May 1998 this locomotive received BNSF H1 paint but kept the Burlington Northern assigned number and in January 2000 was returned to lessor Helm upon expiration of the lease. |
