| Looking like it just left the EMD paint booth at LaGrange, IL, this operating SD40-2 is headed for display at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in Pomona, CA. This locomotive has been donated by Union Pacific in exchange for Big Boy 4014 which is to be returned to active service. Something about an SD40-2 in a museum makes me feel old. This photo will appear in the April 2014 issue of Trains magazine. |
