| Waiting on a green signal before moving south on a BNSF freight, this SD40-2 is no stranger to Texas. Delivered to Missouri Pacific as SD40-2 3192 in March 1975, this EMD entered the UP era wearing the same number but was retired wearing full UP yellow dress. In 1990 Grand Trunk Western picked up this diesel and after a period wearing yellow with the GT logo on the hood was renumbered 5936 and eventually given full GTW blue and orange. Although this unit has worked for different roads, the Mopac ordered hood mounted bell remained. |
