| The newest member of the Fort Worth Western fleet is this former Southern Pacific SD45/Alstom SD40M-2. Delivered to Southern Pacific in May 1967 as SD45 8913 and after a long career moving freight entered SP's Sacramento shop and emerged as SP 7467 SD45R on February 23, 1983. After retirement this diesel was rebuilt by Alstom as an SD40M-2 but retained the SD45 flared radiator and entered the CIT Finance lease pool as CEFX 3120. This locomotive will be named and repainted in FWWR blue and yellow as time and weather permits. This will be a very good looking SD40M-2 in an SD45 carbody. Congrats, FWWR! |
