Delivered to Illinois Central as GP9 9177 in January 1956 then rebuilt by IC as GP10 8177, to Illinois Central Gulf 8177, until being sold to MidSouth becoming MSRC 1036. When KCS purchased MidSouth this Geep became KCS 1906 until being demoted to B unit status in dedicated MOW service receiving a yellow dip job, blanked out cab windows, remote control equipment, and a new number, now KCS 906. |
