A rebuilt SD40N idles while waiting to proceed north through the Tower 55 Interlocker. Delivered to Union Pacific as SD40-2 3172 in February 1972 this locomotive remained on the UP roster until entering the North Little Rock diesel shop and emerged as SD40N 1721 on September 18, 2012. This locomotive managed to operate for a year and four months without anyone uploading a photo on this site. |
