A Union Pacific conductor gives a wave from the cab of his Canadian National C40-8M leading a manifest train moving through West Dallas. Although dirty, C40-8 locomotives wrapped in a carbody are a rare sight in Texas. Especially ones riding on six axle Dofasco trucks from retired MLW locomotives. The CN North America paint scheme is the icing on the cake, if only I could find one in HO scale and not in brass. Note the stencil on the track "UPRR MAIN TRK 2". |

Note the cable and wheel brake parking brake arrangement on the rear Dofasco truck. It would seem succeptable to icing in the frozen Canadian winters but I live in Texas so I'm certainly no expert. |
