This locomotive was delivered to Southern Pacific as 1581 in 1956. Renumbered to SP 2379 and used in the San Francisco area until 1975 when gt was retired and sold to Southwest Portland Cement. After retirement from SWP this locomotive was purchased by Age of Steam Museum in 1993 and seen here in transit to a net home in nearby Frisco. |
